I’m Chris Deever, a software developer with 30 years of experience. Since 2007 I’ve worked in infrastructure development roles, and today I’m a lead infrastructure automation engineer.
I like hard problems. When something looks out of reach, I learn what I need to learn and troubleshoot my way through it. But getting it done isn’t enough on its own: I want it done the right way, following best practices, so it holds up long after it’s finished.
What I enjoy most is watching an idea go from something I imagined to something real and working. I also enjoy mentoring and sharing what I’ve learned with others, which is part of why this site exists.
The projects here range from electronics and software to cars and home repairs, and each one is a story of taking something on, running into problems, and working through them. I hope they inspire you to take on a project of your own and build some new capabilities along the way.
